Early Access opens June 2026.
FS Kingpin launches in Early Access on Windows in June 2026 at $20 USD, rising to $25 USD at full 1.0 release. The game will be playable end to end on day one, with continual updates after that. Players who join the waitlist receive the launch announcement first. This page answers the questions a thoughtful buyer should ask before launch day.
Why Early Access?
FS Kingpin is a one-developer project. Shipping in Early Access lets the people who actually play it shape what gets built next. The game will be playable end to end on day one of Early Access (50 levels, four playable factions, 47 commodities across five tiers, a full price-zone economy, mission modifiers, crew dispatch, contraband labs, rival turf wars), and the polish, balance, and content depth will keep getting better with every update. Buying in at Early Access launch gets you the shortest path to the developer.
How long will the game be in Early Access?
Targeting roughly 6 to 12 months before the 1.0 release. The roadmap drives the timeline. When the core systems feel locked in, balance is right, and the major rough edges are gone, 1.0 ships. We won't rush it, we won't drag it out either.
How will the full version differ from Early Access?
More polish across the board: balance passes, audio and animation finish, expanded handler dialogue per faction, more EFB tablet features inside the cockpit, additional contraband content, and a deeper rival-faction simulation. The core systems are in. 1.0 turns up the depth, the audio-visual finish, and the variety. Anything bought in Early Access stays included at no extra cost.
What you get on day one of Early Access
The game will be fully playable from launch. Pick a faction, fly contraband missions out of your home airport, scale up through 50 levels, build a crew, run labs, fight rival cartels for territory, and react to a working contraband economy across real airports worldwide. SimConnect telemetry, landing detection, crash detection, mission modifiers, and in-app auto-updates all work today in closed beta and ship to Early Access. Save data is local. Plays fully offline once installed.
How much does it cost?
$20 USD as a one-time purchase during Early Access, rising to $25 USD at full 1.0 release. Buying during Early Access locks in the lower price for life, and every update through 1.0 is included at no extra cost, so you pay nothing more once 1.0 ships. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no DRM.
How is the community involved in development?
Players shape the roadmap. Bug reports and feature requests go straight to the developer through the FS Kingpin Discord and [email protected]. Patch notes credit the players who suggested or surfaced changes. The Discord is where the conversation happens between releases.
