Refund policy

FS Kingpin is sold as a one-time-purchase Windows desktop application and is delivered by immediate download. This page describes when refunds are available, how to request one, and how long they take to process. This refund policy forms part of the FS Kingpin terms of service.

How the EU digital content rule applies

By completing your purchase you consent to immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that, under the EU/EEA digital content exception (and the equivalent provisions of Norwegian angrerettloven §22 letter n), your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal is lost once the download begins. This consent is recorded by Paddle at checkout.

Before download: full refund within 14 days

If you have purchased FS Kingpin but have not yet started the download, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no reason required.

After download: case by case

Once the download has begun, refunds are at our discretion and considered case by case. We generally try to help where you've experienced genuine issues. Approval is not guaranteed. Common reasons we approve a post-download refund:

We may decline post-download requests where there is no apparent fault with the software, in cases of clear abuse (for example, repeated buy-and-refund cycles from the same buyer), or where the request appears to follow extensive use inconsistent with a good-faith trial.

Defective product: your statutory rights

If the game does not work on a system that meets our published minimum requirements, or has a material defect that prevents normal use, you are entitled to a refund under your statutory consumer rights (in Norway, forbrukerkjøpsloven) regardless of the rules above. Please contact us first so we can try to fix the issue, but your statutory rights are not affected by this policy.

How to request a refund

You can request a refund in two ways:

How refunds are processed

Refunds are processed by Paddle, who is the Merchant of Record for FS Kingpin. The refund is issued back to the original payment method used at purchase. You do not need a separate Paddle account to receive your refund.

Most refunds appear on your card or payment method within 5 to 10 business days of approval. Some banks take longer to display the credit; if it has been more than 10 business days, contact us and we'll follow up with Paddle on your behalf.
